Always Pursue What You Love

Maya has plenty of dreams: to dance, run and be a cheerleader. But she was born with a condition that affects muscle and bone growth. Doctors told Maya’s parents that she wouldn’t likely walk without undergoing surgery. So before she went to kindergarten, she underwent surgery at the Herbert J. Louis Center for Pediatric Orthopedics at Phoenix Children’s Hospital. Today, she’s living her dreams.
